Still Lake Listening

You matter. We’re here to listen.

Who we are

We are certified spiritual directors (mindful listeners; spiritual therapists) here to ask the questions that will help you sink deeply into your story. We’re here to listen with you for what your life is already telling you. As we are not counselors or psychologists you won’t find diagnosis or counsel here.

Your life story is talking to you. What would it be like to have someone listen, uninterrupted, to what you have to say?

You’ve found a safe and nonjudgmental listening space here. We’ll come alongside as you unpack the stuff of mind, heart, and soul. The grieving, the celebratory; the holy and the scary.

If you’re seeking healing, clarity, or peace of mind, we invite you to come and talk it out with us.

How this works

One on one listening sessions: talk about whatever is on your mind. Offered in person, over the phone, or online.

Group listening sessions: guided group conversations which may begin on a specific topic of interest.

Individual and group spiritual direction (spiritual therapy)*. Available in person, or over the phone/online.

Walk & Talk listening walks (one-on-one, group, or spiritual direction). Interested in Mindful/Contemplative walks? We offer those, too.

*What is spiritual direction (spiritual therapy)?

This kind of listening care is about life’s most complex questions: Am I loving well? Am I living fully? Will I die well? Who am I, and why am I here? Who is God? Is God?

“We are all on a journey.  A spiritual director accompanies us on that journey – becoming a sacred companion.  They offer hospitality for the soul – safe and sacred space where encounter with God can take place.  We were never meant to make the journey alone – it is meant to be shared.  One of the ways of sharing the journey is in spiritual direction [soul care].” ~Parker Palmer~

Listening care is intended for all. We welcome all races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and abilities.
